I've seen other posts and I admit I didn't look at all of them, but am planning to look at more while I await my reply.

I'm running windows 10, 2x 4gb sticks DDR3 1600MHz

I used poolmon to find the ID of the item causing the issue is wfpn. I tried using the findstr command in cmd, but it never had anything return.

I googled wfpn and most of the results were about a memory leak, so I just clicked the most promising one and it explained how to do what I'd already done (including the CMD) and said that theirs lead back to something or another (restarted my PC after, so I don't have the page handy). The way to fix it was to go into rededit, local_machine, controlset001, services and find "ndu", edit it's "start" to 4 and restart pc. I did this exactly.

I can't tell the exact results, as it takes a long time for my non-paged pool to go back up. I restarted my pc yesterday afternoon and it didn't hit 2GB non-paged until sometime this afternoon.

The problem MAY be fixed, but I'm just wanting to look for other possibile issues as it is still slowly rising, but not sure where it should stop rising at. I had a look at another PC in the house, and after being on for 3 days, has 155MB non-paged pool. But mine, after 10 minutes of being on went from 150 - 172mb, however, it's sat at 172mb for about 5 minutes straight now. so maybe 172 is where I should be setting at?

I'm currently running an avast scan, and will run malwarebytes and tuneup utilities when it's finished. But if after all of that it's still rising far too high, what are some other things I can try?

^^ definitely a likely cause.

The W10 upgrade also had numerous issues, including memory leaks & high disk &/or CPU useage that was near impossible to identify the culprit. FWIW, a clean OS install usually fixes those issues (if you're running the upgrade).

Hopefully it's just a matter of updating the driver like mcnumpty said.

It's current up to 249mb, I do have a killer network card, will see if I can find an update :)

EDIT: Killer networking website is not available. Is that permanent or are they just down for awhile?

http://www.killernetworking.com

EDIT2: found the driver here:

https://drivers.windows10download.com/w10-rivet-networks-killer-e2400-gigabit-ethernet-driver-9-0-0-42-for-windows-10-anniversary-update-64-bit-mionj/

avast didn't find anything wrong with the files I downloaded, so I updated it through device manager and it hasn't gone down, but it hasn't gone up either. I'll update later/tomorrow if it continues going up.

I looked at that guide, sadly there is no option on the Atheros site for win10.

https://www.atheros-drivers.com/atheros-network-drivers.html

So looks like that work around won't help me. Up to 265mb non-paged pool right now.

EDIT2: Went ahead and tired it with the windows 8 version, I have the killer driver I downloaded earlier to replace if it didn't work out... Seems to not have done anything at all. That guide says

"In Control Panel your network card will now be called "Qualcomm Atheros 8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)"

But my control panel still says Killer, after having said the Atheros driver was successfully installed. NP pool has not dropped either.

EDIT3: I downloaded a different killer one from rivet that's a little newer. I'll just leave it alone until morning and see what happens, will post back then.
