Internet slowed down after buying a new router

Okay so. I bought a new TP-Link 150mbps router and my internet speed has gone to absolute crap. I was getting 3-4Mbps downloading things and 30Mbps on speedtest.net ; Now I get 400-500Kbps downloading and 4Mbps on speedtest.net please help.

I have my PC directly plugged in to the router

Hello.

Have you tried resetting the router settings? Go to http://192.168.0.1 and then select the option to reset the router to factory settings.
Or you hold the WPS/RESET button on the router directly for around 10 seconds, until it flashes quickly. This will reset and hopefully solve it.

I've had lots of issues with TPLINK routers...if this doesn't solve it, buy another one.
