I have a samsung 750 evo ssd I am trying to clone so I can use it as my drive for my predator g3. I keep getting all sorts of errors. I am using the samsung data migration tool. It looks like I've taken care of most of them, but now it throws up a weird partition error. My computer will not let me delete or remove any more partitions, I've deleted a few using the Diskpart command, My current C: drive is the 4th of four partitions on the drive, and I cannot shrink or delete any of the other partitions using it.

I've done clean reinstalls of windows 10 several times using the online windows tools. Since it is a prebuilt I don't have any windows disks or windows keys on hand.

I even tried to use EasuUS todo free to clone the drive. It supposedly cloned the drive to the ssd, but then my computer did not recognize it as a valid boot device.

I am out of ideas. I just don't want to have to take it to someone and pay $100 for something I should be able to do.

I've already used this specific ssd in an old laptop, so the ssd is fine.

Please help.

It won't boot if you only cloned the C partition, all the boot info is in a small partition at the beginning of the drive.
Use easybcd, the free community version, go to the bcd deployment tab,be careful to choose the correct disk and the cloned partition, and press on Install BCD,it will probably ask you if you want to load the new bcd store, answer yes, if it doesn't ask you go to file->select bcd store and load the fresh bcd from the cloned drive, now go to edit boot menu and make sure that windows is selected, make any other changes you might want and press save...

That was part of the problem. Also two of the four partitions were not formatted, and that was messing with the programs. I finally was able to clone the drive fully using the Ease US todo program, and as a plus I used another one of their free programs, easeUS partition to fix the screwed up partitions on both drives. I finally have it all set up perfectly.

I wouldn't even have thought of that either.
