Want to know if my power supply will run a MSI GTX970 4gb

I'm running an intel i5 6600k with a gigabyte GA-h170m-D3hLGA1151 and a MSI GTX 970 4gb

can the EVGA 500watt 80+ ATX series handle this setup? and if it can is it a good quality power supply?

I'm running the same CPU and the EVGA version of the 970 with a 500watt PSU no problem. The 80+ efficiency ranking isn't fantastic on your PSU, but you should still be ok.

you can goto PCpricepicker and plug in your rig equipment and it will tell you what wattage is needed. then take 80% of your PSU rating and don't go past that.
