I think this is a hardware issue, started a couple of weeks ago. As the title says, my problem is my internet keep dropping in and out. It will be fine for like 5 min, then drop out for a second, minute or longer, then come back even if I haven't done anything.

System info:
Desktop, Windows 7 64 bit. Using a wireless usb wifi adaptor, no wifi card in computer.

What I've already done:
Got a new wireless usb adaptor, same problems as my previous one. Current one is j5create Wireless 11N. Previous was MediaLink MWN-USB 150N.
Updated all the drivers.
Reset TCP/IP.
Tried the adaptor is several of the usb ports, same issue in all. All other usb gadgets are working fine in all ports.

I'll run trouble shooting when I'm having connection issues and sometimes it finds nothing, sometimes it will say: "Connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken." and "default gateway is not available"

I don't think it's a problem with the router as all my other internet connected devices are running fine. I've even tried my tablet next to the hard drive to see if there is something interfering with the signal and the tablet connection works fine.

I get a "media disconnected" comment after running ipconfig /all.
Here's the log if that helps:
C:\Windows\system32>ipconfig /all

You can try those adapters on a different computer. Electronics do funny things at times.

Any reason why it would work fine for 3 years plus and then suddenly stop working though?
