Hello, My laptop, HP Probook 4430s is heating (84 C as I am typing this) while their is nothing running and CPU usage is ~ 25%.

When I play games (CnC, SC2, Paladins). The temp. skyrockets and the laptop shuts down on it's own..

Possible reason-
-- The battery, as it's capacity is very low, like 1 hour.

- I tried reinstalling windows 7 ultimate; no luck.
- Cleaned out the dust.

Also, when I run Halo it says, "We are sorry, but your computer's video hardware is below the recommended minimum spec for this game;

Machine info: 2400MHz, 4032MB, 64M Intel Unknown (0x0116)"

Solution
if the image of the " cool and very hot " is the one of your opened laptop then I would unscrew the very hot area cover and check the quality of the cpu grease, make sure all is good at that point and use a vacuum and make sure nothing is "blocking" airways.

The copper thing is stuck on top of the cover; should I just remove it?? And how do I put it back on?
