Hey
I've been considering to build myself a budget pc. Here are the specs: CPU-Pentium g4400, cooler - cooler master hyper 212 Evo, mobo - Gigabyte GA Z170MX Gaming 5, video card - msi gtx 1050 ti gaming x 4g, PSU - corsair cxm 450W semi modular (I hope case, storage and OS doesn't matter). And here comes my problem: 2x8 gb corsair vengeance lpx DDR4-3000 RAM. I've just read that g4400 doesn't support ram frequencies higher than 2133 mhz.
I'll overclock my processor, to ~ 4.5 GHz, if that matters.
Shall I go with sth lower frequency, or oc mooooooore my processor?

Solution
So go.for.it. i3 is still better than pentium series. Dont worry about it. Because im so worry about ur.gpu. it also can work fine with i3 6th generations. Best regards khd

Bro u got a good gpu and a little bit weak cpu. Buy a better cpu for max optimizing performance.for.gpu and also for ur ram frequency. How ever I dont think so u cab got for 3000 frequency but u can get near.to it and also works better with ur great gpu. Im not sure about bottlenecking ur.gpu from clu. But.it doesnt give the performance u deserve with that gpu. It worth it to buy at least an i5 or i7 processor

Thanks for the answer, but I have a quite tight budget. At most I can go with an i3-6100 - to OC it.

So if I OC it to 4.4 GHz, will it work with 3000 mhz RAM?

I dont think it reaches. But there is nothing to worry about bro the ram also can works good in a little lower frequency I cant surely tell u it reaches. But I can surely tell u its work better than pentium because of its.good optimization with ram and gpu
