Hi,
I've just had pair bonding installed and a new modem(no router), and connected to my desktop through LAN.

It shows in networking and sharing center as Unindentified network, furthermore when i try to troubleshoot it, it says ""ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration". I have tried multiple things as other threads on thise page have suggested such as, enable automatic ipv4 and ipv6, changing the cables, changing the computer, resetting the modem(both by the button and power). Furthermore i have been going into command prompt and written ipconfig /all resulting in that there is no defult gateway showing. I have also tried ipconfig /release and /renew with the error: "no operation can be performed on Ethernet while it has its media disconnected"

What could be the problem?

Thank you for your reply

Best regards

Frederik

Who installed the pair bonding? Could be some physical installation error or problem. Perhaps some slightly loose connection somewhere...

Otherwise I would suspect a configuration error or some default setting still in the way of things.

What make and model is your modem? Do you have a separate router? If so, include its make and model.

Can you re-run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" - may be able to spot something therein.
