My SSD works with my other motherboard and boots windows perfectly however my new one doesn't seem to notice windows 10 when i try and use it. I put it as the first option on the boot devices but when i boot it still comes up with american mega trends logo.
The motherboard i'm using now that doesn't work was in another PC bought from PC specialist.

System that it doesn't work on. M5A97 R2.O gtx 650ti FX-4300 1x8gb hyper x DDR3

System it works on: Intel I5 4690k R7 370 1x8gb hyper x fury DDR3

I tried wiping the mobo by removing the cmos battery

Any help will be appreciated also feel free to ask me about any of my specs.

You can't use the Windows config on a disk to boot two different (and in your case VERY different) motherboards. Configuration information about the drivers and the motherboard are stored in the Windows registry. If you change motherboards, you need to do a clean Windows install to avoid any nagging problems. But in your case, you have to do a clean install just to get it to boot.

why are you moving the hard drive? if you got a new drive for the intel well then your going to need to buy a new key to reinstall windows because you cannot use the same key on two systems.

also the intel is a better system so I hope you didn't get the amd system as an upgrade as I was expecting the ssd to be moving from the amd to the intel.

anyways no mater what best solution is above. to reinstall os every time you change the whole config.

If i read correctly you try to boot but only the POST screen is coming up (bios screen) and nothing happens?

Now if that's the case I would try to do the following, get your windows copy, be it an optical disk or bootable usb boot from that, and click on repair windows then go to command prompt and type in the following

bootrec/fixmbr (press enter)
bootrec/fixboot (press enter)
exit (press enter)

then press restart.Hope it helps!!
