So I was getting a disk write error when trying to install TF2 on steam and I was reccomended to run an Error check on the hard drive.

So I did that and then I rebooted, with a bunch of text, then I come back and my HD has just vanished, all 2TB of it, I still have my SSD but I honestly dont know what happened.

System Restored to almost 4 hours ago, didnt solve anything. So I guess I just lost everything?

After a few reboots it just started disk checking my E: drive again and got to stage 4/5 and 11% percent of the way through before it stopped showed an error line of text and instantly rebooted.

So still in the same spot, couldn't get a picture of what the error is it flashed by too quickly.

Solution
Check in this order and see if you can find the drive:
BIOS > Device manager > Disk management.
If you can't find it in the BIOS, check cables and plug it in another port. If that doesn't work I'm afraid it's future and future of data stored on it is pretty grim.

I looked in BIOS and it wasnt there, I dont know if I pressed something but when I rebooted the HD is back, and I rebooted like 10 times before so I have no clue, good thing because I couldnt even unscrew my case to get into it. Thanks for your help anyway.
