Games are stuck at loading screen

Hello,
I'm a gamer and almost never had issues with my system. But since last weeks, some games are stuck or crash or not responding at loading screens(when starting a new game). There's no difference at my system, only i inserted my old hdd to see what's inside it, a couple of days ago. then i unplugged it. that was the only difference i can think of. my system is, win 7, i5 4460 3.20 ghz, 12 gb ram, gtx 760.
games the stuck at the loading screens are, tyranny, pillars of eternity and thea the awakening.

what seems to be the problem? any suggestions?

You mentioned that the issues began after you had inserted your old HDD. Maybe you should check if all the connections inside the PC rig are properly connected. It's possible that some of the connections might have gotten loose when you plugged/unplugged the old HDD.
I'd also suggest you run a anti-virus/malware scan and make sure that there's no infection on the system as well. I'd also suggest you try to reinstall one of the problematic games and see if the problem will persists afterwards.
