How do season passes work

Can I just buy the season pass for watch dogs 2 later.. Like on Friday??.. Or do I have to buy it at check out.. I know I get extras for preordering the game but im looking to go deluxe collector's edition and then get the pass on Friday when I have more money.. Will that work?

Season Passes are typically (but not guaranteed, because they want your money) to be all the bundled "discount" of all the planned DLC for a game.

It saves you money buying all of them (and also paying for something that you have no idea what you're buying from them) at once, as buying them all individually is usually like 25% more expensive.

My experience with season passes are they may be purchased at any time as long as the offer is available. As soon as a component of the season pass, the DLC, is released then the offer of season pass is no longer available.
