what slots should i take in if 2way sli

IM A NOOB IN SLI
well my problem is this i have 2 gtx 970's
my motherboard does have 4 slots now
were do i put my gpu's
i want one in the first slot an the 3rd slot
or do i have to set them 2nd one or does it not matter were i put them ? HELP

Do you have the manual that came with your motherboard? It should tell you the bandwidth/number of lanes of each PCIE slot when using SLI. Typically you want to put them in the slots with the highest number of lanes.

For instance, you might have

Slot 1: x16
Slot 2: x8
Slot 3: x4
Slot 4: x4

or in SLI it might change to

Slot 1: x8
Slot 2: x8
Slot 3: x4
Slot 4: x4

But each board is different and you'll have to find out how many lanes each slot uses in SLI. Hope this helps.

your board supports having the cards on slot 1,2,3 x8 at least. so yes, you can use slot 1 and 3 for your SLI setup.
