I was stress testing an overclock for an i5 6600k and my new pc crashed. it wont post now, i removed the battery on the mobo to reset the cmos but that didnt work, i moved my ram stick and tried it in all for slots, same with my gpu. i tried my monitor hooked to the gpu and the mobo but still cant get it to post, all the fans run on high and the leds on the mobo turn on, but not on the mouse or keyboard connected to them. im using a gigabyte z170-hd3 for my mobo, any ideas on how to fix this?

Did you remove the battery for more than 5 minutes? While the power cord was removed and supply switched to off?
Unplug the power cord. Switch the power switch to off. As some people say, draining any power beforehand can be good, by pressing the power switch. Then, remove the battery. Afterwards, press the power button once or twice.
Wait 5 minutes.
Then re-install the battery and plug the power cord back. Try to see if it posts.

after go to the bios and select defaults settings or optimized setting and save it

My universal instructions for how to do a CMOS reset:
1) Turn the machine off and unplug it.
2) Press and hold the power button for three seconds to drain any remaining power.
3) Remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard.
4) Get a snack.
5) After five minutes have passed, put the battery back into the board.
6) Done.
Please note, the OS may get confused if you don't boot into BIOS setup and set the date/time before booting to the OS.

did the same as weberdarren97 for my gigabyte x99 gaming 5p, power on self test (POST) read CMOS setting, so do that 1st.
Repeat and repeat until you get POST, after you get POST quickly enter BIOS and set time and date, save and exit.
Logon to windows, see if any corrupt data, find any damage and fix them.
How exactly you OC? what PSU? what other components connected to PSU?
