T420 Wifi Card - need help finding a replacement

Bought a used Lenovo T420. It didn't come with a wireless wifi/BT card. It came with a Sierra Wireless 3G card for direct connections. I am having trouble finding a NIC card to match the space. Most are pci-e 4x but aren't long enough to reach down to the slot and the antennae up top. Basically, they are half the length of the Sierra card I am replacing. Suggestions?

I guess you want to replace Sierra 3G card with a wireless card. There is no need. The place for wireless card is under the keyboard. T420 should have antennae available for it. Perhaps you find there a card and what happens is that or it is disabled (a switch) or it is dead.

If you do not have a card there, check that the new one is compatible for Lenovo T420 (it has white list in bios).
Alternatively you can find modded bios without white lists and then you could install any card.

i've used it myself and think it works very nice for the price. You mention bluetooth,you need that? Or just something to connect the pc to the router.
Something smaller but maybe works better with a laptop.
