Okay so, first of all i'd like to apologize if the post gets "too" long, because theres alot i want to talk about. I'll start with my computer specs and then enumerate the issues.

RAM - 8GB
Screen/resolution - 15.6 " 1920x1080 (Touch & LED)

My problems:

1. We just installed a fiber into our house and i was full of joy like a 5 year old. It is a 500mb/s line. But you see, the problem is im not getting anything close to it. My download speed is about 150-180mb/s and my upload around 480 mb/s. Ive tried tons of anti - virus and malware, but with no effect. It is not my IPS as everyone else in my house gets instant 500mb/s on (www.speedtest.net) and our IPS's own test. My laptop however has to work like no tomorrow to get anything around 150. And i also have a Gigabit port on my laptop, and my wireless supports 1GB, i've checked that out.

2. As to FPS drop, its basically happening everywhere. On LoL (leauge of legends), WoW (World of warcraft), and especially on OW (OverWatch). See the problem is that im running the other 2 games fine with a few fps drop here and there, and i can still enjoy it even though its not at its fully potentional. However Overwatch is basically hell. I start out with 80-100 fps on LOW settings and after a few games 10fps forever throughout the game, doenst help to restart the game or the laptop. And i've been tipped about "overheating", which might be a issue, because on "HWM monitor" my Laptop reaches about 75 celsius under a while of pressure, but my GPU just stops the utiliazation. Like it was working when i started the game, 50-70% of workload, and i play for a while, but then it goes down to 5% and stays there. My CPU however still gives me its full power/%.

3. Now my HDD. It has been giving me hundreds of HDD CHKDSK error messages, and telling me to repair it, which i am, but of course, it doesn't help. I run the disk check and it goes back to normal, only to give me the error again, then it stops. It waits for the time when im most happy and pc is running fine, just to give me the message again and ruin my day. I've contacted Asus about this, and they believe its a malfunctioned HDD, which in my case i have to believe. (This morning it shut down giving me this error: Driver power state failure)

But is my HDD the source of all my problems? Regarding the internet, the fps drops, the slow pc, slow boot. Ive literally done everything i can, Anti virus - Malwarebyte - CCcleaner - Freshly installed GPU drivers - removed tons of apps and disabled backround applications - Safe Mode with more anti virus scans - Panda Cloud Cleaner - Burned Avira Rescue system on a CD and ran that as my "boot" instead of windows to further clean my system. Or is my laptop just some good ol' click bait buy ? Or am i just paranoid because "overwatch" isnt working but rest of my games are. I literally have no idea. And im dying for some responses because this is giving me the largest paranoia and stress i've ever had, both gaming and work related.

Hey there, @karminder!

Thank you for the detailed description of your issue, it really helps figure out what might be the cause of the problem. I'd also suspect the HDD as a failed drive could easily influence the performance of the whole system. I'd strongly recommend you backup all important data from the laptop somewhere off-site first. This is the surest way to avoid the potential consequences of data loss. :(
Afterwards, I'd advise you to run the HDD's brand-specific diagnostic tool or a third-party alternative as it would help us determine what is the SMART status and health state of the drive. Try not to run chkdsk on it for now. If you are dealing with too many bad sectors, it won't be able to repair them, simply...

Since the laptop is fairly new, you should definitely check if it's still covered by the warranty! If it is, you should certainly get in touch with the manufacturer's/reseller's customer support. They should be able to provide assistance if you are dealing with a failed hardware, once you send your RMA request.

Let me know what the SMART results show. Hope this helps you! :)
