Is a gtx 1070 good with an overclocked amd fx 8350? Or would a gtx 1060 with a skylake i56600k give more fps?

Solution
This comes down to your other components, as well as your desired resolution.

If you've got just a regular/LED nothing fancy fancy monitor and playing @1080p~60hz

Best choice would be the i5 with gtx1060.

If you would say you've got a 144hz monitor and so on, then we can explore the gtx1070. otherwise it's not going to live up to it's potential, not to mention that your CPU will not be able to keep up with it, even on an overclock

It really depends on your motherboard, power supply and cooling. I have an 8350 and an EVGA 1070SC. I can go 4800mhz on the 8350 and 2075mhz/4665mhz (core/memory) on the 1070 stably. I score a 5875 on 3DMark TimeSpy. 60+ fps on Witcher 3, DeusEx Mankind, Biochock Infinite = all Ultra settings and steady 60FPS with triple buffered sync at 1440p

I can get the 8350 up to 5.2 amd some change with some voltage adjustments.
