My pcie 3.0 x16 slot is not working all of a sudden the hdmi cable is plugged into the gpu port i get no display at all,however when i connect it onboard graphics i get a display but graphic card is not detected in device manager,bios nb config says pcie x16 not present ,i cleaned the slot reseated the gpu several times with no luck only fan spins no display , then i put gpu into 2nd pcie slot i.e x4 mode and it worked flawlessly but when i play games with gpu plugged in that slot i get lags,stuttering
Things i have done,
Cleared cmos,changed cmos battery,bios reflashed to latest,changed primary display to pcie but it reverts back to auto unable to figure it out,
This is 4 yr old build never had issues before did not move pc anywhere .

Hd 7770 1gb sapphire gpu
Seasonic 620 watts bronze psu
4tb wd hdd.
