Hi,

I have:
- Gigabyte EP31-DS3L motherboard
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33ghz
- Win Vista

Recently my PSU failed. Replaced, and found RAM slots 2 and 4 are no longer working.
- Place RAM into slot 2, and it hangs on the first splash screen and unable to get into BIOS.
- Place RAM into slot 4, and i get to booting windows, and then it blue screens.

Tried various things to get this working so down to only 2x 2GB DDR2 of ram currently working in slots 1 and 3.

Was thinking i could just buy some bigger sticks of RAM to replace the current 2x 2GB DDR2 sticks however i've been looking for a 4GB stick, and shops dont seem to sell them, and online, most 4GB sticks seem to state 'AMD ONLY'.

- Is this really the case that i cant support these 4GB RAM chips just because of my INTEL processor?
- Does anyone have any suggestions moving forward?

Thanks in advance
- Ash
