My keyboard have a strange issue, this sometimes happens sometimes not. Basically what happens is all keys becomes useless and not working when I press them. Mouse and other things are working fine, to fix this I have to re-plug into the USB port, I think something wrong with my keyboard, I plugged into other USB ports and still same error happens, sometimes I get "usb device is not recognized" pop up in right below corner, and sometimes "unknown device installed" thingy pops up. My keyboard is Microsoft comfort curvy keyboard 2000 v1 says at back.

I will now test it with my other keyboards, I hope this is not a motherboard issue since its pretty new hardware. I will let you guys know the results which can take some time because its very random.

In meantime, if you have any idea why or how this happens, please leave a comment below

thank you

Solution
You could try installing newer chipset/USB controller drivers in case Windows updates caused a bug to crop up. Outside of that, I'd say its a keyboard issue.
You could try this.
Go to the bios setup for your motherboard.

Make sure the option of enable detection of usb legacy devices is enabled in the bios options or menu settings.
Save the changes made in the bios before you exit it.

Now remove the usb connector for the keyboard from the system.

And connect it to one of the rear Usb input ports on the back of the system case where the main I/O is of the motherboard.
You should see a round ps2 port in most cases, where the inner plastic molding is a split green and purple color hafl and half.

Above it, or bellow it you should have two usb ports provided.
Both with a black plastic key or tongue, insert the keyboard into one of thoes usb ports.
