Hello guys. I have my curent PC over 5 years and after my first salary I decided to spend part of that money on my PC so I want buy new graphics card . My curent PC components are Ati Radeon HD 7770 , Amd Fx 4170 4.2ghz , 8GB Ram ..Im using Amd stock cooler for my processor (Its really loud and it can get to 80°C ) So I want buy Cooler Master Hyper 212+ evo for better cooling and the most I want buy new graphics card GeForce®GTX 1050 Ti StormX ( http://www.palit.com/palit/vgapro.php?id=2719&lang=en ) . I want ask you guys , will I get good performance in games? Because im sick of playing games on low settings :D Thanks for any answers.

I would say it's somewhat possible for the 4170 to still bottleneck a 1050ti (which is basically a gtx 960), but he'll still get a large FPS boost regardless.

@OP, Ghz are kind of a meaningless number unless comparing the exact same CPU. It's the equivalent of engine RPMs, but not say MPH/KPH.

Gpus and Cpus are mostly independent of each other, You will probably see occasional performance drags from the cpu side but all in all you will have to upgrade the cpu eventually to better keep up with newer games. Some games are more cpu or gpu reliant than others.

Your FX 4170 may be old and weak, but it will not bottleneck a GTX 1050 TI. Get the 1050 ti, and later on when you want more performance, then upgrade your processor/mobo. The GTX 1050 ti is not a very powerful card and it should be fine.

Is it really that bad processor ? I thought processor with 4.2 ghz would be still good for that graphics card .

Large boost? how much ? :D ..When I play Need for speed 2015 I get often fps drops to maybe 10-15 fps and its hard to play game like that but most of time my fps are around 30 which is okay .
