is the intel i5 4590 good for gaming

i want to play old current and future games currently im building ive already got the motherboard hard drive and power supply and im also going for the xfx rx 480 so no bottlenecks or lag or should i get something budget higher without changing my motherboard also im going to get a 1080p monitor sometime next year

One of my alternate gaming systems is i5-4590 based with a Radeon R9 390 and it performs just fine at 1080p without issue. If you're going to stick with a single GPU setup, a 4590 should serve you just fine.

i forgot to mention my monitor is viewsonic va1913w resolution 1366x768 also what about games like battlefield 1 gta v and dishonored 2 any issues if i get the intel i5 4590

as i said im building not upgrading my current pc is

intel g41 chipset
intel e3400
3gb ram (2.75 usable)
asrock g41m vs3
western digital 74.5gb
win 7 ultimate sp1 64bit
