WiFi bandwidth usage problems

My younger brother got a PC today and he really likes to watch YouTube videos - basically all the time.

I like to play a lot of fast paced FPS games so connection is essential to me when playing.

The problem is, whenever my brother starts to use YouTube or other video streaming services, I immediately see an impact on my ping, from in the 10-20 region into commonly the 100+ region. This really screws over my playing experience and happens quite regularly due to the fact he's always watching videos - long ones too.

I'm using a TP-LINK to provide Ethernet to my PC at a constant 100mbps whereas my brother is using wifi, normally around the 50-60mbps but shoots up over 150 when watching YouTube on his PC.

What can I do to stop my ping/connection being slowed down by YouTube

I don't want to say, 'just don't watch YouTube' or be really unfair with connection consumption, but I don't want to keep being interrupted by this.

If it is of any use, we use a BT-HUB5

Solution
unfortunately QOS on a consumer router will only allow you to prioritise traffic, check if this is a feature of the BT-HUB, you could then prioritise your traffic. You would need better equipment to properly share the bandwidth?
