Hey guys,
I recently got an S2600JF server motherboard. The board itself has two 2x3 main power ports and they are connected to a 2x6 port on a separate power board (I don't know what it called really..).
A picture of power board and power ports.

There is a weird interface on the power board. It looks familiar to me but I really don't what it is.
Can someone help me identify what its function?

I found out you need a backplane board as a bridge between power supplies and motherboard. and PSU also need a power control board to connect to the backplane board...also you can't just short some pins to startup the server, you also need a front panel. These server are all priority stuff, it won't work without full set.
BTW, I bought all these stuff from ebay, if you are still trying to figure out how to make it works, I can sell you these things.

yea..i figured that out...spent hundreds of dollars still couldn't trick the PSU fan. so I bought a s2600cw workstation board instead and install it on a normal case.

You can do it without all that stuff - but it is not easy.

You can short pins to start it up - I used a momentary push-button.

You will have to feed the board +5vsb or it will never show signs of life.

You have to use the special risers for pcie slots because the ones on the motherboard are not wired standard (the risers route the signals to the proper pins)

P.S. I am typing this message on a homebrew computer with an s2600jf board
