My uncle has been out of the loop gaming wise for about 5 years and wants to get a pc for himself in the new year so he can get back at it again. He said about 800 dollars is what he plans to spend on it so i need some suggestions on components. I would prefer both intel and nvidia in the build but if it is necessary to go intel and amd that is fine. But keep the cpu intel. He plans to play games like Grand theft auto and battlefield 1 so price to performance will have to be as good as possible. Thanks in advance.

Solution
You dont need an unlocked(K) cpu if you do not intend to overclock. This should give you maximum bang for buck.

Thats a pretty bad build.... Z170 with a non-K, really bad PSU...

This is a gaming build but future proof on the CPU. It should last a good while with just video card and RAM upgrades. Possible upgrade the heatsink later for overclocking.
