will a PCI express 3.0 work on a x16 slot? my motherboard has
2 PCI slots
1 PCI-Express x1 slot
2 PCI-Express x16 slots

Solution
your goal is to increase performance of the PC?

The specs i found on google are...

2gb Ram and a QX9770 CPU.

The CPU is alright, but the ram is an awfully low amount, im not sure if maybe you got more.

But for your PC a GTX1050TI should work out great. Others may be pushing it a little in the sense of CPU being too weak to handle the graphics cards

the PCI-E x16 slot is perfect for a GPU. The new graphics cards are backwards compatible with old PCI-E slots (and is best to have x16 to get full potential speed from the motherboard side)

but could you please list the rest of your system to see which options would work best for you as well as a set budget, possibly your country
