I recently overclocked my GTX 750 ti PALIt OC edition 2gb. I thought it'll improve my fps at GTA 5, but I get around 20-30 fps at low settings. Processor is amd a8-5600k, 4 gb ram and Motherboard is F2A85-M LE

Solution
If performance has changed for the worse, then put the clock speeds back where they were.

I would have expected it to simply crash, or show color distortion. You may be on the verge of failing which is resulting in video driver communication errors which end up as freezing/stutter issues.

Just FYI, but at MOST an overclock can give you is the ratio you overclocked by. For example, if you overclock by 10% and had 30FPS before you'll get at most 33FPS.

I recommend you:
a) go back to default (It's already an "OC" version thus has little left likely anyway), and

b) TWEAK the settings if possible for a higher FPS.

MOST people put the settings too high because they want better graphics rather than concentrate on game smoothness.

Can u help me determine how much is the highest possible tweak I can do for this video card?

not exactly. You can Google YOUTUBE for what others have done, but you'd have to compare an AMD CPU and GTX750Ti (most AMD CPU's should be similar like FX-4300 etc).

YOUTUBE isn't super helpful though since you'll end up tweaking yourself anyway.

1) run FRAPS, or if Steam set to use the FPS counter

2) decide on whether SCREEN TEAR is an issue. If so, you'll need to run locked to 60FPS or 30FPS. If not, then I'd aim for VSYNC OFF at 40FPS average

3) While monitoring the FPS counter, play with the graphic settings. I personally like to get rid of anti-aliasing. I don't have the game, but if there's a simple preset such as "MEDIUM" maybe apply that then tweak AA or other settings.

You can find tweaking guides as well for this game.

4) GEFORCE EXPERIENCE
- if your goal is 40FPS VSYNC OFF then I believe you can simply set this to apply the settings. It should get you pretty close.

5) ADAPTIVE VSYNC:
- this toggles VSYNC ON and OFF depending on whether you can output 60FPS (for 60Hz monitor) or not. The "HALF" version of this will cap to 30FPS on a 60Hz monitor instead.
- You should then tweak so you mostly maintain that FPS (maybe 90% of the time), then sometimes drop which gives screen tearing (instead of added STUTTERING).
- *to enable this, use "manage 3D settings" in the NVidia control panel, then "ADD GAME", then find the settings I mentioned, save, then CONFIRM it is working.

Summary:
- decide on tweaking "goal" such as VSYNC ON or OFF, or Adaptive VSYNC
- play with settings
