So awhile back when the Overwatch Open Beta cam around I could run it with no problem because of my GTX 970. And I could the run the full release atleast up until now... all of a sudden I am having constant frame drops. And I dont know whats causing it. Same story with battlefield 1... I could run the beta and full release up until now.

SPECS:
CPU-Intel Core i5 4460
GPU-GTX 970
RAM-16 Gigabytes

If you need anything else let me know, thanks!

Usually, a sudden dip in performance is due to either a corrupt driver or overheating (For example the CPU heatsink coming loose)

The first thing I'd recommend is to check your temperatures while gaming to make sure nothing is overheating and thermal throttling (Please show your temperature results here). If that isn't the problem, try running Display Driver Uninstaller to uninstall your current graphics drivers and download the latest version from the Nvidia website.

I don't know about Overwatch, but I do BF1. It's a very CPU dependant game. In single player you shouldn't have any issues, but who buys it for sp? It's the 64 player matches where there is so much destruction and other stuff going on that you will suffer.
My 4590 was struggling a bit, then I went into BIOS and set the clock ratio to the maximum turbo boast frequency (and turn off turbo boost), now all cores will go to that speed and the game is running so much smoother.
