Oh? Guess Medion decided to be intelligent for once. Usually, they ship with two 4GB cards.

If so, then just buy that amazon card, install it in the lower card slot, and you will immediately have 16GB. ^^ Sorry for the mixup.

Hello there.

That stick should be entirely compatible with your Medion. Your laptop uses exactly that: DDR3L. It has to be 204-pin, 1.35V ram. Hynix makes quality ram, and that price seems alright too.

You have only 2 slots for ram, so if you buy only one, you'll have 12GB of RAM total. Your max is 16GB, with two 8GB cards.

If you ever want to know what RAM your laptop/pc needs, Crucial has a really good search engine:

Hmm, I have 8GB already and the amazon ram chip is also 8GB. So why would that give me only 12GB?

You have two cards in your Laptop? They are both 4GB. Two together add for a total of 8GB.

You will need to take out one card to add the amazon chip. So if you take out one card, you only have one 4GB card left? 4+8 =12GB.

If you want 16GB, you will need to buy two 8GB ram chips. But 12GB is more than enough for most applications...
