Recommend me a 1060 for gaming at 1080p@144hz at good graphics settings

hi there im looking to upgrade my gpu from a gtx 960 to a 1060 card which can play games at 1080p and @144hz whilst still hitting the sweet spot of 144 fps. ive been looking at the ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB and the ASUS GTX 1060 STRIX OC 6 GB and was wondering is the strix version really worth the extra money. any help or recommendation would great

The Asus Strix version is great, the cooler is very good and very quiet.

However, in terms of performance its probably not worth the extra money, as the performance between the two will be minimal.

I still went for the Strix as I like the looks and how quiet it is.

+ for the Strix line - had several now, solid, reliable and quiet. I don't know about the performance differences being worth it, but for the quiet reliability, I'll buy 'em every time.

you would most likely need to turn down settings with a 1060 if you are playing anything more demanding than CSGO or overwatch

a gtx 1070 with an i7 or overclocked i5 is recommended
