Should I upgrade my processor/motherboard along with my graphics card?

I have a nvidia 960 and an AMD eight core processor but I'm buying a 1070 GFX card soon and I was wondering if I should upgrade the processor as well? I was leaning towards buying an i5 or i3 but im not sure what motherboard I should buy if I end up buying a processor

The Intel I5 is better in gaming situations than the I3 . Make sure you purchase the newest Skylake CPU Line for the best longevity. That FX processor will bottleneck severely .

BTW the 1070 is a great choice. Get Gigabyte or Asus and stay away from the EVGA Line. Best of Luck!

Yes your CPU Wii bottleneck the 1070 a lot. I suggest a the MSI h110m pro-vd for none k and the gigabyte z170x ud3 for k CPUs.
