First PC build, need advice.

Solution
PSU is not very good. I would recommend an i7 for gaming, and streaming.

I agree with this build suggestion from Logain, apart from the PSU. Corsair CXM are really low-budget, poorly made units, and is no better than the EVGA SuperNova. There is a highly regarded 'PSU list' on this site, which can really help with choosing good quality units. Here's the link, and Corsair CXM is under "Tier Four": http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

I would recommend this Seasonic PSU: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TgW9TW/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii520bronze

It's got plenty of Wattage for Logain's build, as you won't be Overclocking, or SLI. It's also fully modular, so less cabling means it'll be much easier to manage. Also, Seasonic make just about the best PSUs on the planet :)

Ah, I was unaware that there was a new range of CXM units. I'm glad to hear the new ones are better. You learn something new every day :)

Edit: Can you be sure that if you order one, you will get a new unit? I assume Corsair will be trying to sell-off their old stock first...

The new ones have a black and white label, like the RMx does. Also there were not any x50 units below the CX750m. The 750m and 850m, are same platform, as the old ones, but have been given a refresh of some better components. The new ones also have the new label color. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=486
