Hi, I'm wondering what is the best case and fans that I can buy for the best airflow but I also would like it to be some what quiet also, I don't want to spend more than £50 on the Case and £30 on the Fans. My current Case/fans setup has crap airflow which results in me having to keep the side panel off as the GPU Overheats. I'd prefer a Case with a side panel fan to blow on top of the GPU also so windowed cases aren't really a must. Thanks in advance. :)

What is your motherboard size? ATX, M-ATX, ITX?
What do you have inside that you need to cool?
What is your current case?

If you have a case with at least two front intake fans of 120mm or better, you should have adequate cooling.
And... if those fans have a filter, your parts will stay cleaner.

If you have sufficient intake, the incoming cooling air will exit somewhere, taking the heat from your parts with it.
If you want quiet, look for 140mm intakes or 200mm.
Larger fans move air more quietly because they can run at lower rpm.

Size of the case is irrelevant. I use a small M-ATX Silverstone TJ-08E with only a single 180mm intake. Running on low speed. PS-07 is similar.

If you are using a liquid cooler, your task gets more complicated.
The orientation of the radiator will cause a problem.
If you orient it to take in cool air from the outside, you will cool the cpu better, but the hot air then circulates inside the case heating up the graphics card and motherboard.
If you orient it to exhaust(which I think is better) , then your cpu cooling will be less effective because it uses pre heated case air.
A simple tower type air cooler does the job better.

Cases with viewing panels will tend to be noisier.
One can install foam insulation on cases with solid panels.

a good case at around £80 is phanteks enthoo pro

comes with 2 fans installed so dont need to buy separate fans

cases with side panel fan mounts seem to be out of fashion

and cant say i have really felt the need to ever have a fan on the side panel a decent case with good airflow doesnt really need one

I have an ATX board with an OC'd I5 4670K but that never goes over 70C under full load, My main issue is trying to keep my MSI R9 390 Cool as that baby gets hot. My current case is the Zalman Z3 Plus but i used to have my System in my NZXT H440 but the GPU was reaching 90C in that case with the current fans that i have in it so if there is fans that can really increase its airflow i would love to use it again.

in my opinion the enthoo pro is far better than the nzxt h440

though i like nzxt stuff and the h440 does look nice if had to choose between the 2 would be enthoo pro every time

fans can only do so much the design of the case is the limiting factor plus not wanting your fans sounding like a jumbo jet taking off to get decent cooling

Yeah, The issue is that I already own the NZXT H440 and was wondering what would be the best fans to use in it in order to get the best airflow out of it and I didn't really want to spend more than £50 on a case if I did need to buy a new one.

The issue I think with the fans that came with it is that they are non static fans so as you said the restricted Airflow with none static fans in more than likely causing the issue, that being said I wonder if I buy High static fans that can pull a lot of air through the side vents will it help, if so what high static fans would you recommend that also have high airflow?

I'm thinking maybe if i pick myself up 3 Corsair SP120 Air Series fans for the intake as apparently they really help with the airflow within the NZXT H440 as well as staying quiet.

I can get 3 for £30 so if they sort me out like you say, then happy days if not them i will just have to buy a new case, My PC right now sounds like a Jet engine as the fans need to be at 100% to keep the system cool.

Sure even if they don't work and I have to buy a new case I could keep them and put them in the new case as they still move a decent amount of air (57.24 CFM) given they are high Static.
