I a have a 1080p 60hrtz monitor and i would like to see what my 1060 can output.
However, i can't see the fps above 60, and the command GameTime.MaxVariableFps X doesn't work in the cfg or the console. Is there another way?

Solution
fraps is free as far as i know. but you'll need something like it to show you what the card is producing since the screen itself can't actyually tell you nor show you the extra above 60 fps.

not sure what else to tell you but that's just the way it is.

RCFProd gave a way to enable the in game screen counter but it's still the same idea overall

GameTime.MaxVariableFps locks your framerate to a number you set it to.

Perfoverlay.drawgraph 1 enables the FPS counter
