my cpu frequency locks when i up the voltage

i was overclocking and put my voltage up and multiplier the frequency would lock and not change even on load. (goes from 4.3GHz to 3GHz) and i cant figure out why. Also my cpu tempture never goes above 40C

Because your board isn't good enough for overclocking .
The vrms will overheat with more voltage & will throttle the CPU to bring voltage & temps back down.

Honestly just about anything in all fairness.

What's your budget & country??
What kind of overclock do you expect to achieve??

At the moment you have a cooler that is worth 2-3x the cost of your motherboard !

An oldie but a goodie, still one of the best when it comes to overclocking.

With a 6300 you're going toyo be limited only by the binning of the chip itself

4.3 should be a walk in the park at probably less voltage than stock.
