Ok, I will be upgrading my computer big time around christmas when stuff is on sale. I have around 350 to devote to upgrading the cpu, as well as an upgrade to a ddr4 motherboard and ram. My rig is:

I swapped out the stock hdd, put in 2x3 tb toshiba hard drives, a Corsair Coolmaster 600w Bronze psu, an 8 gb ram stick, and an AMD R9 380x 4gb card.
However, my cpu is not up to snuff for today's games, and I want something that can actually utilize the power of my card.
The two processors I have been looking at are Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 and Intel Core i5-6600.
Which one is the better choice for gaming? Also, Im a total noob when it comes to motherboards. So which motherboard and Ram can I get with one of these processors for 350 or around that price?
