Getting a warning on pcpartpicker "Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs." Just wondering if the FX 6350 and MSI 970 GAMING ATX AM3+ Motherboard will be compatible.

Solution
They are compatible. That warning is from 2011-2012 when FX first came out again. the board are all up to date now. Unless you're buying from a mom and pop that has had it in inventory for years and years just gathering dust.

If you somehow get a board that isn't updated it will be a pain to flash because they usually don't post without a compatible CPU, meaning you'd have to source an older Phenom II era chip to get the flash done.

Honestly i don't think that will come up. If it does we can always help you here.

That particular MSI mobo came much out later (after the G43-G46) models and is fully compatible even with the 1st bios release with an FX 6350. I think you will like it I built with it 5 times so far it has very decent 6.2 power phasing and nice onboard sound.
