Just finished a build with these components:
Intel 6600k CPU
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200 RAM 16gb 2x8 16-18-18-36 CAS 16 (default is 2133)(I checked mobo compatibility)
GB GA-Z170X-UD3 Ultra (rev1) mobo.
EVGA GTX 1070 SC
Install and first boot went fine and the computer has been working fine.
I went into BIOS to advanced memory settings to enabled the XMP.
On reset I got a message indicating a boot failure due to incorrect configuration
It gives me current CPU clock of 3882.59MHx
Current BCLK of 100 Mhz
Current Memory speed of 2133.33
havent had this issue before, so looking for some feedback as I dont think there is a memory incompatibility.
Thanks ahead.

You may have two Xmp modes in the bios Xmp 2.0 that is present in most Intel based motherboards.
Just have a check to see if there is an option to enable Xmp 2.0 memory configuration in the bios as and option and make sure it is enabled if so Fpdoc.

Have a check also on what revision of the bios firm ware the new board is running with.
And check to see if there are any bios firmware updates for the board with a higher firmware revision number.
If so it will detail all of the tweaks and fixes such as better memory support, or more stable when adding memory with a High Xmp speed setting.

If so flash the bios revision your motherboard has if an older firmware revision, if the one on the manufacturers support and downloads section is better for your model number of motherboard you have Fpdoc.

There about the best two things I can advise you to do to get the memory working at the correct speed rated they should run at.

Update BIOS from F2 to F4 with no change. Did not see an option for XMP 2.0.
I also overclocked the CPU to 3.9GHz and the bump did allow me to adjust the memory speed to xmp.

The problem is solved with F5 and future Bios. I will recommand you to update to F20 Bios with all new Intel feature since the unlock capability is ok with your CPU profile.
