Decent enough for what? What's this rig going to be used for? Which monitor or TV are you going to be using?

Why are you using the old socket 1150 socket type? Why not a skylake build?

It's for gaming of course. Can it run smoothly on the newest, latest, most resource intensive game today at ultra high settings? For the monitor, i'm planning for a 27" screen. And why not the 1151 skylake? Because i'm on budget.

Sorry. That wasn't apparent. With a $300+ MB and $600+ GFX card I unfortunately assumed the budget wasn't too much of an issue.

Gaming of course? That was not apparent. The 32MB of RAM suggests higher end video editing, rendering, PS(Lightroom?) and the like. There are zero reasons to go with 32MB just for high end gaming. Opinions? Many. Valid reasons? I can't think of any. Help me out please. I'm dying here.

There are no incompatibilities. The 1600KHz RAM stands out as slow compared to the rest of the build. Sorry. IT's so odd. You could buy a less expensive motherboard and go with a skylake build and have better RAM which does impact gaming and a better CPU which would be more in line with that 1080. It's unbalanced. The build I mean.

What kind of monitor or TV are you going to be using? SPecifics are needed. Is it a 1080p TV? A 4K TV? A 1440P TV? A 144Hz(refresh rate TV? 120Hz? 60HZ?

You can see the 6700K outperform the more expensive 4790 over here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDo-j00vUtw .

It is my maximum budget already any higher than that is a no go for me anymore (which skylake build is beyond that).

I could reconsider the ram and find something above 1600mhz. So what clockspeed can you recommend? I like the look of the maximus 7 formula that is why im sticking to it and if the gpx card is way to great for my build, i can go down to a gtx 980ti maybe?

I dont now much about monitor specs but maybe a no lower than a 1920x1080 resolution.

So back in my original question, is it capable handling ultra high setting on latest games?

Quite easily.

The build may be overkill if you just have a 1080p 60Hz TV. I would not go down to the 980ti. Maybe just down to the 1070.

You don't need any more than 16GB for high or top end gaming.

I really dont care throwing out too many gigs for ram. I like it many, also i use programs that utilizes ram such as autocad, inventor, sketch up and also i open lots of tabs in my browser at once

Okay. That's smart. You use autocad, inventor, sketch up as well. Those programs can consume more RAM than what gaming will.
