Hello, I am going to be changing out my Dell Inspiron 3847 mobo into a new case along with getting an i5 4590. Should I use the intel stock heatsink or the dell one? The dell one screws in and the intel one has push pins. Current CPU is an i3-4150 LGA 1150.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

It all depends on which one looks better for you. There is no any performance boost since you will not be able to overclock it.
So which one does look better for you?
My opinion that Intel stock is way easier to install and remove and lower profile. So it should look better also if you need to replace thermal grease it will be faster and easyer.

I had no intention to overclock. Perhaps I should have been more specific. Would the Intel one fit? And which one would cool better?

Yes it is stock for this socket so it must fit. I believe that they will cool the same but safer option is to go with intel stock cooler since it is made for that CPU.

Alright, ill give the Intel cooler a try. I have an OEM Dell motherboard and thats why I asked. Worse comes to worse, ill use the dell one. Thanks for your input.
