Thoughts on hybrid drives instead of going with an hdd+ssd, it seems to be cheaper than buying both and is still faster than an hdd.

If i were to choose this over the others how much memory should i go with? 1 or 2 tb?

If i did go with an ssd could i just do 120gb and load games onto that one? I don't really care about boot time since i always have my PC on..

Solution
A 240gb ssd+ a 1tb platter is about the same price as a 2tb sshd generally.

Its also a far better option not just because an ssd is exponentially faster but because you isolate your game drive from your os drive.

That isolation can make a big difference when you consider page filing , background processes etc will not affect the performance of your secondary drive while gaming

Its the recommended setup option for those very valid reasons.

That's exactly what I had it in. It felt slower than the 7200 drive in there before.

Replaced it <1 year later with a 512 GB SSD, and moved the SSHD into my then-new desktop build as a storage drive. Still miserably slow; replaced with a 7200 RPM desk drive and retired the SSHD to a drawer for a fresh system image backup.
