Want to upgrade my setup to a GTX 1080 with a 3440x1440p ultrawide monitor. Wanted to know if my i5 4670 3.4hz will bottleneck and if I should upgrade?

Witcher 3 Ultra, BF1 Ultra...I dont care about over 60fps...just want stable 60fps on the ultra wide.
Just run AAA games on Ultra for a year or 2.
TY for reply.

Not in the slightest. For some reason the community is freaking out about bottlenecks even though they are quite rare.

I admit that the way Intel labels their CPUs is not very clear but i7 doesn't mean better than i5

Here is a link about the naming http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/processor-numbers.html

Im really confused because I keep getting two different answers. Thanks for replying.

Do you think i should upgrade my system for a 3440x1440 34inch monitor . I will be getting the gtx 1080 anyways even if i dont upgrade.

GTX 770 2GB
Intel Core i5 4670 3.4Ghz
Corsair H80i CPU Cooler
ASUS Z87-A - Motherboard

In this case just see for yourself if the CPU is powerful enough. If it is you are all set and if for some reason it is not just buy it then. Much better way than just buying a new CPU because you might need it.

Who wants to spend $400 on a new CPU just because developers don't know how to code properly? It works perfectly fine in the cheap Xbox One CPU, I say wait for updates, wait for bug fixes and optimizations since it's apparently a bad port.
