EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Bios Update

I'll be honest here guys, I'm a little anxious about this. With the recent concerns being presented from the community about the VRAM issues with some of the EVGA cards, I called EVGA and they said that this BIOS update would fix the issue. Now, I have gone to the EVGA download webpage and was confused by this:

"EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 (For Dual BIOS cards, card must be set to BIOS that is being flashed):"

There is a "primary" BIOS and a "secondary" BIOS. Currently, I have version 86.04.17.00.80. Which of the BIOS versions should I download from the website? I really appreciate the feedback.

The FTW card has switch next to the power 8-pin power connectors to select the bios and you should be on the primary bios. You would need to flash the primary bios from the evga site. You would need to switch to the secondary bios before flashing the new secondary bios.

Ok, that was my understanding. If I don't intend on doing anything with the secondary BIOS, would I be ok just to install the primary BIOS? Thank you for your help!

Master is primary Bios and Slave is secondary. Download both and flash both. The version look at the second to last pair of numbers (00) in your case. That means its a primary Bios. (01) is for secondary. So if yours said 86.04.17.01.80 that would be secondary. So download an flash your primary bios, turn your machine off and flip the switch to "slave" and then flash your secondary.
