Hi I have done some research on the top mice available today and would like to see if anyone has personal experience with them or if they have suggestions on a specific mouse.

I have been using Razer Naga MMO for the past 4-5 years and have gone through 2 mice.
I'm a Palm grip gamer.
I'm getting back into Counter-Strike and I'm finding the Naga hard to learn on.

From what I've seen these two are my top picks:

Razer Death Adder
-Latest gen seems to be unchanged just added the chroma illumination.
-105grams
-Top Sensor
-Im getting mixed information about its build quality, some say it has clicker problems and/or has a short life.
-$80-$100CAD

Steelseries rival 700
-Vibration (Game sense, CS:GO applicable)
-Top Sensor
-135grams
-Modular
-OLED, somewhat gimmicky but it has its use with onboard configurations
-$130CAD

Its hard for me to compare as my current mouse has buttons on the side and isn't really designed to be lifted up. Im tryin to learn the technique for FPS mouse control and seems to me the grip, weight and its lift off range are key factors.
Anyone else has feedback on these two or have suggestions that would be great!

Those mice are old news. If you want the top end mouse right now it's the G900 Chaos Spectrum. 200$ CAD at memory express.

My buddy bought it a few months back. Amazing response, ambidextrous, and wireless. Amazing piece of technology.

whatever you decide to get do not get a wireless mouse for games, it's just not worth it.....mobility yes but not for gaming....a wired mouse will always be more accurate and have a faster response....my 6 year old Microsoft laser mouse 6000 still works like new, never had any issues

That's not true. Have you tried the mouse yourself?

5 years ago I might have agreed with you, but that's not the case anymore. Technology has progressed.

thx for input. ill look into the g900. As for what i want, im not sure because the last time i played FPS on pc was more than 10yrs ago. I can say I highly doubt i'll drop $200 on a mouse unless it stands out in every way I can imagine.
Also its a wireless, im not against it but wireless is wireless, I have to factor in more variables and when it comes down to reliability and life I would more likely stay wired.

I disagree, bottom line is that its using 2.4ghz frequency. yes its better than bluetooth but that technology is not earth shattering news.

Yeah I know , mice is a difficult product to evaluate. But im more interested in seeing what other mice I can consider before buying one. Last thing I want to do is buy one and find out there's more to look at.

Originally started at the Razer Deathadder and just looking out for different brands and more features, the Deathadder seems very simple and thats ok I just like the extra stuff too!

VERY VERY personal. You ideally want one with no hardware or burned in software acceleration or prediction. The same decent sensors can be implemented differently. Then u have lift off distance, angle snap etc.

Look at zowie. The corsair m45 is good.

I use a mad catz rat 3. Uses the a3090 sensor, very light, thumb and pinkie rest. Good for claw grip.

Some mice favour claw, some palm. Long mice can be a problem if you finger grip.

The list goes on.

thx will look into it.
and yeah i learned about the acceleration etc.
as for the sensors, should I just look at the sensor model and call it there? or could there be more to it than just the model number that i have to look up?

Sensors are implemented differently and burned in software can ruin a good one. So you need to look at model reviews.

Some good lists out there on overclock.net I think going over sensor implementation

You need to work out what you want. You don't need to spend. 200£ on a g900 to get a top notch mouse. For example I tried the razor deathadder and Hated it...whereas people hate my mouse! .

ok my question was do i just look at the model, but like u said that software can ruin it? but doesnt that mean i can turn off this function since its software and not built in physically?
for example do i just look at a mouse and if its a 3066 sensor im good? or do i look into the mouse to see if anything added.

I dont know what I want because Ive never used a gaming mouse other than the naga, i used the logitech 700 for a few weeks but thats it. Unless the retail store has it on display, theres no way for me to know what i want so i just want the best possible choices and go from there.

**btw the Deathadder Chroma and Elite, I read that the Elite has everything Chroma has.. any feedback?

As a big fan of Logitech and their software that G900 looks sick. I just don't like the $130 price tag. I'll put it my wish list and wait for a sale.

It's truly a beautiful mouse. Light weight, wired when you need it to be, ambidextrous, and the RGB looks clean. I felt no input lag using it.

If I can afford it this boxing day I'm getting it one as well.

well to back that mouse.. its said to be the best wireless mouse. wireless or not, its the price point for me.

*I might be grabbing the deathadder elite.
i hear great things.. but also something thats sorta bothering me that i see ppl talking about the clicker.. not sure if they fixed it on the elite but my razer naga clicker failed but it did have over 1yr of intense diablo gaming

After going through several reviews and pros + cons and availability I've narrowed it down to 2 mice:
Razer Deathadder Elite
Razer Mamba Tournament Edition

Both were available in display and initial feel was quite similar. Not exactly how I would consider that a test but it was better than buying blind.
I really really wanted the Mamba because of the lights. They are extremely nice especially the line that wraps the mouse. In the end I reminded myself that I wanted a mouse for cs: go and other FPS games. I took no chances and decided on the Deathadder Elite. If it doesnt work out for me thats ok because I can return it and get something else within 7 days. Starting out with the best sensor is the way to go. Time to practice! ...well more like getting use to the mouse!

thanks for the input guys!

*cost of mouse: $106 as of 11/16/16
