Been trying to SLI and it wont recognize SLI for me with the top two slots. So i thought since one of the top two is a gen 2 pcie while the other two are gen 3 like the top one. I wanted to move a card down there to see if it would recognize SLI for me. But when i check in my bios for hardware it doesn't recognize the GPU in either bottom slot

looking at your manual (pg 1-18 and 1-19), I don't see any disclaimers other than the recommendation to use E2 and E5 when running dual cards. Some boards disable one of the slots when a device is plugged into one of the other slost. I presume you don't have anything plugged into the PCIe x2 slot.

If you put matching gfx cards in E2 and E5 slots and they are not recognized, I would be returning the board (unless it's too late). Or contacting MSI for getting an RMA for it. Btw, Nvidia cards require a min of x8 lanes for SLI. So it won't work if the card is in the PCIe x16 slot that is only x4 lanes.

Hmm that was what i was afraid of. I never had the extra card tell recently its past the point for a return thanks though! But yeah i was putting a card in e2 and e5 and e5 would not notice anything in it only two slots that saw it are e2 and e4.
