Which GPU works well with an i5-3570k CPU?

I'm current running with a GTX 660ti, but this thing appears to of run it's course. Constantly crashing my PC in just about any game i play.

So I'm looking for a new one. I was going to go for a 970 but Newegg has those things priced in the 400$+ range. I have a budget of about 250$ so I was thinking of a 1060, but I'd like some other opinions before I make a purchase.

I think you are on the right track. The GTX1060 is probably the best value in that price range, and it will complement your CPU very well. Do not get the 970, the 1060 destroys it in almost every single game.

It performs marginally better than the rx480 from AMD, and the GTX1070 is quite a bit more expensive. The GTX1060 is the sweet spot GPU at $250.

In that case, which one do you think I should pick up? There's about 30-40 to choose from on Newegg alone..
