Not to sound like an annoying brat but I need a new computer. 2 years ago for Christmas I had gotten the Alienware Alpha i3 model which I payed for mostly. I knew from the beginning that this computer was going to not be all that powerful and that I should later get a new one and intended that this PC gets turned into a media station, emulator machine and for general couch gaming.
Fast forward a couple of years and I need a new PC.

Some other people assisted me with fine-tuning my build http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/bNVsm8
but now I am up to the stage of convincing my parents to allow me to buy this.

I work and get paid exactly enough to buy this build yet they are restrictive to how I spend money. I need some help convincing them to allow me to purchase this system.

Again, sorry for sounding a bit childish and thanks for all the replies!

edit: I understand that this isn't the usual thing to post on this website but I don't want to create a Yahoo mail account.

You may be able to sway their minds if you tell them you want to build a PC yourself, as a project and learning experience. If they go for that, you'll be able to build a better system than you would otherwise buy pre-built! And learn about hardware, OS installation along the way!

First, this site doesn't allow bumping. Please add additional info into the body of the previous post. Second, there isn't much we can do to help you. Bargain, find unrestricted money, etc is about all you can do. This is actually a question that comes up quite a bit. But every parent and situation is different and there is no magic way of you a better gaming machine.

I'm not sure what magic answer you're expecting people to come up with, this depends entirely on your parents, your age, and how big your balls are.

All I can say is that if it were me I'd find a way that I could buy the parts myself with my money and i'd just do it. Can you buy online? Are you old enough to get a young person's debit card? Are there shops where you could find the parts? Do you know someone else who'll buy them for you for cash in hand?

When your parents find out, just stand your ground, tell them that you'll spend your hard earnt money as you please.

Now if they take YOUR computer, act stern and refuse to give into what is an illogical and ridiculously rude decision on their part.
I'd go to wherever it is and get it back. If you can't find it, take their stuff out of their room to make a point.
I'm not saying act rude for the sake of it, I'm saying you should do everything you can to teach them that you're able to stand up for yourself when you know you're right.
Just because they're your parents doesn't mean they should be allowed to control you completely.
If you put your point across well enough, you can get any parent to understand and come to an agreement.

If you act like a little bitch, that's what your parents will treat you like.

whoaaaahahahhaha... this is the first time I saw an interesting thread.
well... u are a grown up man I believe, just tell your parents you'll buy that computer to support your work that's all, and if your parents still don't give you a permission just buy part by parts, they won't realize.

How is anyone aside from you going to convince your parents? You also have a too small of an SSD to be useful and you don't need 4 case fans. There are two already in the case.

I had forgotten to mention that it was an Alienware Alpha i3 model. It practically is a mini console-like PC. The only part of it I could reuse would be the HDD yet I am getting a new one because of the lack of size and speed.

The only components of it that I can upgrade are the CPU, RAM (which is already maxed out at 16gb DDR3L) and storage

I was considering doing this but was curious to see other people's responses.
Honestly though, how would they not notice all these packages coming to the door and a giant computer being placed in my room. I honestly chuckled a bit.

The SSD is exclusively for OS and some small programs like Steam
