Upgrade my pc or build a new one for gaming , thanks

Hey there, thanks for reading this thread, i was planning on upgrading my pc but with new games requiring a good setup im rethinkin of upgrading my pc would even benefit me or should i just build a new pc, i want to be able to play games like gta 5, cs go, bf 1, rainbow six siege, wither 3 and few more games on 1080p qith high or ultra setting at 60 fps+ ,i plan on getting the gtx 1060 6gb , a new set of ram and a new psu , these are my current specs

I7 2600non k(3.4-3.7Ghz)(0.9v at idle)
8gb ram kingston 657+ mhz
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
Direct x 11
Gpu: ati radeon hd 5450 4g
Hdd: 1tb
Psu:cooler master elite power 400 watts
Motherboard: ga z68ap d3
Monitor: samsung 2043 sw plus(lcd monitor)
hdmi dx 10.1 written on the motherboard

Well looking at the CPU, I've seen some i5-2800 not be bottle necked with the new GTX 10 series, but that is quite an old one. You can try to attach a GTX 1060, but I would recommend an rebuild with either a Skylake or Kaby Lake processor. This would mean a new motherboard and DDR4 ram as well.

Again, just my recommendation. Especially if you want to future proof yourself for the holiday games coming out.

I'd grab a 1060 and throw it in your current system, then make a decision if I were you. If you're planning on a 1060 no matter what, then it won't hurt to just buy that first and see if it works for your needs with your current system. Upgrading your ram won't make a huge difference, so I can't say I would recommend doing that unless you know you want to stick with your current system.

As far as overclocking a locked CPU, I think there are ways to do it, but they're really complicated and difficult to do. I tried it on a locked celeron I used to have and I couldn't figure it out.

I see, thank you guys, i will get a gtx 1060 and a new psu and see how it goes , thanks again guys, yeah i wanted to build a new one but here in asia a 200 dollar i56600k costs about 400 dollars with taxes , thats why im rethinking of huilding a new onw
