Hi,

I duel booted Ubuntu Mate along side windows 10 a while back. I wanted to reinstall Window 10 and remove the Ubuntu Mate OS. So tried to boot from my USB (I did burn Windows 10 onto the USB with RUFUS) for some reason when I set the boot menu to USB it ignores it and goes straight to the GRUB (The interface that lets me pick between Window or Ubuntu). So to combat this I went onto my Windows 10 OS and using disk management deleted the Ubuntu partitions in hopes that it would delete the grub along with it. but now when I try turn my PC on it just boots to a "minimal bash". I have no idea how to use the LINUX terminal. I cant boot from my USB and I cant log onto my Windows 10 OS? If anyone knows why this is happening or a possible solution please let me know :D

It's possible, you used rufus options that are incompatible with your PC, when you created windows 10 install media.
For example if you created installation for UEFI, when your PC doesn't support that.
Or you created installation for MBR, when your computer is configured for UEFI only.

Recreate windows 10 install media with options that are compatible with your PC.
Well have you tried to boot the USB with another computer to make sure it was properly bootable? I had some USB sticks that works with some computers, and not others. Also, did you try holding down F8/F2/etc to bring up your boot menu?

These are the settings I used: "MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI-CSM" . As far as I know the option I used will work for both BIOS and UEFI?

I tried that but it still wont work :(

That option will work only for legacy BIOS or UEFI-CSM.
If your PC is configured for UEFI only, then this will not work.
