I have seen on the intel site that the skylake i5 needs DDR4 at 2133 mhz.can it also work with a DDR4 2400 mhz?

Solution
It should run up to 2666 just fine anything higher might take some tweaking or overclovking on a Z170 board.
If your not using a Z board then you can still use 2400 but it will run st 2133.

That is with buying faster memory not buying 2400 and expecting it to run 3000.

So the motherboard will automatically set to 3000 mhz if i buy 3000 memory?i find it abit wierd because it says 2133/2400 mhz on the specs.

So basically a 3000 mhz memory could work with XMP enabled.
